Pickup/up dropoff

• Students should arrive at school at their designated arrival time.

• Students may not arrive at school past 11:00 AM without prior approval from the Head of School.

Morning Arrival Times:

• 3K students may arrive between 7:30-8:30 AM. 3K students are tardy after 8:30 AM.

• PK-8th grade students may arrive between 7:45-8:05 AM. PK-8th grade students are tardy after 8:05 AM.

Afternoon Departure Times:

• 3K students may be picked up between 2:30-3:15 PM.

• PK-3rd grade students may be picked up between 2:45-3:05 PM.

• 4th-8th grade students may be picked up between 3:00-3:05 PM.

• All students left after their designated departure times will be automatically checked into aftercare and parents will be charged for a minimum of one hour of care.

Early Dismissal Afternoon Departure Times:

• ALL grades may be picked up between 11:45 AM-12:05 PM.

• Aftercare is not available on early dismissal days.

Episcopal School of Nashville does not require students to wear purchased uniforms. However, students are required to adhere to the school’s standard school attire dress code.

The school’s dress code for the 2024-2025 school year will require students to wear a solid-colored red, white, or navy-blue polo shirt with short or long sleeves. Students may wear navy-blue or khaki shorts/pants and skort/skirts/jumpers/dresses throughout the year. All shorts, skirts, and dresses must reach finger-tip length on students.

Leggings/jeggings/yoga pants may only be worn under skirts and must be solid colors that are red, white, black, or navy-blue. School logo sweatshirts or solid-colored outer garments may be worn. All other outer garments must be removed if they have a logo or writing.

Socks and closed-toe, flat shoes are required.

Items not allowed are denim, sweatshirts with logos, athletic wear (leggings, yoga pants, etc.) or caps and hats. Please label all of your students belongings. Any sweaters, jackets, personal items should be labeled for easy identification to return.

Carpool is a very busy time in the mornings and afternoons.

Please be mindful that, in good faith, we are wanting to be great Ordway Place neighbors.

Please do not block driveways, or make U-turns.

You will be given a family placard for each parent/guardian’s car window. You must have these placards in place to pick up your child in the carline. If you do not have your placard, you must park, walk in, and physically check your child out at the front desk.

Episcopal School offers families a hot lunch option through local food provider Chumpy’s Kitchen. You can place an orders following these steps:

• Visit: chumpyskitchen.com or chumpyskitchen.square.site to place orders.

• Advance Ordering: Orders can be placed up to 30 days in advance to help you plan ahead.

• Daily Cutoff: Orders can be placed up until 6 AM on the day of delivery.

• Cancellation: Orders can be canceled before 6 AM on the day of delivery via email at info@chumpyskitchen.com.

• Delivery: Select “store pickup” and choose “Episcopal School of Nashville” as the location. Be sure to enter your child’s name in the 'Add a Note for the Seller' section at checkout to ensure proper delivery.

*Please note that due to the developmental needs of our youngest learners, this service will not be available for our 3K students at this time.

If you do not order lunch from Chumpy’s Kitchen, your child should pack a snack, balanced lunch, and water bottle each day. Please label each item with your child’s name. Students have limited access to a microwave while at school, so please plan accordingly. Outside/restaurant food deliveries will be permitted only in the event of an emergency, e.g. lunch cannot be dropped off by a student’s family/guardian.

If your student has a nut-allergy, we have a designated table and make every attempt to keep surfaces clean and nut-free. For safety reasons, sharing food on campus is not permitted. Please be mindful to pack food thoroughly and safely.

Episcopal School of Nashville offers Before and Aftercare Monday through Friday to any child enrolled at the school. Before and Aftercare begins on Monday, August 19, 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year.

Hours:

• Beforecare is available 7:15-7:45 AM
  for PK-7.

• Aftercare is available 3:05-5:30 PM.

*Aftercare is not available on early dismissal days.

*Beforecare is not available to 3K.

Hourly Rates: $15* per hour (prorated by 30 minute-increments)

*Students receiving financial assistance for tuition will pay an hourly rate based on their financial aid percentage. 

*A $50 Semester Supply Fee is required for all students attending before or aftercare.

How To Register:

1. login to Blackbaud and click the “Form(s) to Review” list.

2. Fill out the “Optional: Before/Aftercare Registration” form.

3. You'll receive an invitation to register your Brightwheel account.

4. The Semester Supply Fee will be automatically charged to your Brightwheel payment method on August 16th, and is required prior to your child attending Before/Aftercare.

Additional Details:

• Brightwheel auto payments* will be taken out every Friday for Before and Aftercare charges. Aftercare follows the school calendar and is not available on holidays or half days.

• Aftercare closes promptly at 5:30 PM. If a parent arrives after Aftercare closes, a late pick up fee of $1/minute will be charged, plus the standard $15/hour fee.

• If you have not arrived by 6:00 PM and we are unable to reach you, we will contact your emergency numbers for assistance with the child(ren). If you are late 3 times, you may be asked to leave the program.

Parents/Guardians must sign their student(s) out of aftercare each day at pickup.

*Tuition invoices will continue to be billed through Quickbooks/Intuit. You will receive your tuition invoices by email and must pay manually (auto-pay is not available).

Episcopal School is proud to offer rotating enrichment clubs and classes after school! Offerings, costs, and schedule vary. We'll post a regularly updated list of options on your Blackbaud Resource Board, with instructions on how to register.

Unwell students need to stay at home to prevent exposure to other students and adults at ESN. Our illness policy is based on the Model Health Care Policies developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics. If your student has any of the below symptoms, your student should remain home. If your student becomes sick during the day, you'll be called to pick them up.  

• Fever of 100.4 or above (axillary or temporal).

• Persistent cough, with or without fever.

• Vomiting.

• Diarrhea.

• Rash, unless a physician has determined it is not a communicable disease.

• Pink eye until the student has been on antibiotics for 24 hours.

• Impetigo until 24 hours after treatment.

• Strep Throat until 24 hours after treatment.

• Head Lice until after treatment and all nits are removed. Must have proof of lice treatment in order to return.

In order to assure your student's comfort and reduce risk of contagion, we ask that sick students be picked up as soon as possible. Students must remain home for 24 hours without the above symptoms before returning to school. In the case of a suspected or confirmed contagious disease, rash, or continuing symptoms, a doctor's note is required before your student is permitted to return to school. We will always err on the side of caution and call you when anything unusual is detected. Students may return to school when: 

• They are free of fever, vomiting, and diarrhea for a full 24 hours (without the aid of medications). 

• They have been treated with an antibiotic for a full 24 hours. 

• They are able to participate comfortably in all usual school activities,  including outdoor time. 

• A health-care provider signs a note stating that the student's condition is not contagious.
